We find the process of creating a new user really long winded and often we miss certain elements. A user friendly function which adds the user to all the right areas of the system with the right access would be amazing.
Agree the process is complicated. Would be helpful to have a step by step guide in order of how to do it. There are too many log ins. I seem to go round in circles.
Thank you for raising this - Im pleased to confirm improvements are coming - initially making it far simpler to manage user access - we will be posting updates soon. We are committed to making user management far simpler and are planning how best to approach it. Please look out for posts here and within the CIRCLE user group as we want to make sure it will work for you.
It is quite time intensive certainly if a new user group is created and amending all of the settings in PS Distribution relating to this (Masters - Workflow - Document Types). Not possible to duplicate settings in one user group to another in PS Distribution.
Also once user is created in PSF Admin, then have to separately login to PS Purchasing to assign them a license. Then, in IRIS Financials, have to add the settings to the User on the Users ledger as well as setting document type permissions under UDI settings. This may just be how our system has been set up but ideally all settings for a new user setup would be in the same place. We would certainly miss elements if we did not have detailed process notes to follow (which we have written ourselves)
